Updating any application from the Google Play store is usually as easy as tapping the "Update" button however in some cases you may receive an error as shown below:

If you run into issues when updating the OfficerReports mobile application on Android please try the following:

  1. Close out of the google play store and all running applications.

If OfficerReports is one of the running applications please ensure to submit ALL reports first! You may want to wait until the end of your shift if you still need to continue with your DAR or other reports that you have not yet submitted.

  2. Restart your phone.
  3. Open the Google Play Store
  4. Tap on the "Hamburger Icon" (the three stacked slashes)
  5. Tap My Apps and Games
  6. Tap Updates
  7. Find OfficerReports and Tap on the Update button.

If the above steps do not resolve the issue you will need to uninstall OfficerReports and reinstall as this appears to be the only clear method of ensuring a proper installation if you receive the 504 error message above:

If OfficerReports is open please ensure to submit ALL reports first! You may want to wait until the end of your shift if you still need to continue with your DAR or other reports that you have not yet submitted.

  3. Tap My Apps and Games

  7. Restart your phone
  8. Open the Google Play Store
  9. In the search box type in "OfficerReports" (all one word, no quotes)
  10. Find and Tap on OfficerReports
