Once you have found the App, download it to your device. Once the App is downloaded ensure that location services are turned on for your device and for the OfficerReports App.
Enable Location Services
Step-By-Step:
| |
If you do not enable location services you may see the following message while using OfficerReports. -----> |
Opening OfficerReports for the First Time:
When you open OfficerReports for the first time you will see a dialog box that asks for several permissions as well as location access:
While on duty most officers will turn their screen off to save battery or have to switch to another app (when making a phone call for example). While your screen is off or you have OfficerReports running in the background your location data is not available - this can cause delay when performing actions as your location can take a moment to update when OfficerReports is running in the foreground again.
You will want to set your location access to Allow all the time for OfficerReports:
While Allow only while using the app is an option here you'll want to tap Allow all the time |
Enable Always Location Access for OfficerReports if you selected "only while using" above:
Step-By-Step:
|
You may see this prompt until you grant Allow all the time access:
If the above prompt appears you can tap Allow all of the time to make this change for OfficerReports. If you tap Keep while-in-use access you may see this prompt again. |
