  • Fixed - Scanning an NFC Tag for Tour Tracking would, in some cases, disable audio for incoming calls and notifications. 
  • Improved - Image Uploads:
    • If an image fails to upload the user will be notified that the image failed to upload and it will be uploaded when the user submits the report.
    •  If an image upload is currently in progress the user will receive a warning on submission of the report. They will need to wait for the image to upload completely before the report is able to be submitted. This was done in order to prevent cases where an image was not fully uploaded and a report was submitted, causing the image to not be included in the report.

  • Changed - Smart Features for Tour Stops and Clock / In and Out now work without an officer scheduled on a shift. When you set up a schedule and do not assign an officer to the shift the following are now checked for:
    • Tour Stops: That your tour stops for that shift are being done in which you have set them up.
    • Clock In / Out - If no Officer is scheduled it will check to see if an Officer is clocked in at the site. If no Officer is clocked in at the site an alert will be sent out.

  • Service Update: We completed an update to our server that improves the quality of service for all users. Troubleshooting and investigation concluded that some users who were on cellular networks such as T-Mobile or MetroPCS would be forced into IPV6 only mode where they were unable to connect to the OfficerReports Mobile Application. This Service Update improved our networking technology to allow proper connections from users that were being forced to use IPV6 from their mobile carrier or ISP where the IPV6 to IPV4 translation technology at the carrier or ISP would fail to properly initiate an IPV4 connection.

  • Updated - Android V 3.7.6 - DNS Trouble Notification with new logic for customers using both IPV4 and IPV6.

  • Updated - QR Codes now include less data for the camera to capture leading to a more responsive and faster QR code scan. These new QR codes appear when downloading them fresh from your Site Tour Tracker section. Older QR Codes will still function normally.
    • You can download these new QR codes from the Main Site as an administrator by going to Setup --> Sites --> Options --> Tour Stops --> Download All QR Codes.

  • Fixed  / Revamp - Android Application crashing on some devices when attempting to do a QR Code Scan. 
    • QR Code Scanning has been improved with a lighter weight implementation of our QR Code Scanner. When you tap to Scan a QR Code the camera is much more responsive and should open nearly instantly. 
    • A Flashlight toggle has been added to the Tour Tracker. The volume up and down buttons are no longer used while scanning QR codes to turn on and off the flashlight.
  • Fixed - Application update notification process. When a significant change has been made to the software we may send an alert inside the OfficerReports app. This alert used to open up a browser window to the Google Play Store instead of the native Google Play App on your phone. Now when you tap "Update" it will take you directly to the OfficerReports App in the Google Play Store on your phone and you can simply tap the "Update" button to update to the latest version.
  • Added - When an officer taps "Submit" at the bottom of the Daily Activity Report a popup box will open prompting the officer to confirm that they are submitting the DAR for the entire shift. If they tap "Yes" the report is submitted. If they tap cancel it returns them to the DAR.
  • Changed - Wording on Submit button when adding an Observation to a DAR. This has been changed to "Save Observation".
  • Added - Proactive, instead of reactive, approach to DNS issues inside the application. If an issue is detected, when attempting to connect to the OfficerReports server a notification will appear re-directing you to a KB article with the latest "D" version of the application. 
  • Added - While using the D version of the application it will check to see if the DNS resolution has been resolved on your network. If it has been resolved the OfficerReports App will then prompt you to download the current version from the Google Play Store.

  • Released - Version 3.7.1D for customers having issues with DNS resolution problems due to a cache error with customers ISP not pointing to the correct IP address for OfficerReports. 
    • The procedure now in place to quickly identify the issue and send out an email alert to all customers with a link to download D version of the latest version should this happen in the future and if the customer is affected by DNS resolution issue.

      Note: This did not impact ALL OfficerReports users and as such only a few customers had to download and install the D version of the app. The D version was not released on the Google Play Store. Customers with the D version currently installed will receive a notification that an update is available on the Google Play Store once a new version is released.

  • Added a Field Inspection report (currently called Supervisor Report), to the list of reports that supervisors can access while at a site.  Security officers will not have access to these reports.  Once they are submitted, the reports will be emailed to the supervisor of the site that the field supervisor is inspecting.  The Approval Required option is set to ON so you will have to approve these reports before your customers can see them.  If you would not like your customers to see them then do not approve them.

  • Simplified the process to print QR codes for Tour Stops.  To print all the QR codes for a site, simply click the Download All QR Codes button in the Tour Stops screen.  Three pages will be downloaded to your computer in .PDF format.  Two pages show the location and description of the QR codes and the final sheet is the QR codes. Ensure that when you print the QR codes that the Fit to page option is NOT checked.

  • Added the ability to turn off GPS Verification for mobile devices and desktops independently.  So we can now turn off GPS Verification on computers on a large network with incorrect IP addresses but leave GPS verification on for the mobile devices at that site.

  • There have been ongoing issues with Safari on Apple'siOS version 8.  These issues are widespread and Apple is aware of them.  Until Apple addresses these issues, if you have upgraded to iOS 8 on your mobile device and are having difficulties submitting reports, please download and use the Chrome app for iOS to submit your reports.  PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS ONLY APPLIES IF YOU HAVE UPGRADED YOUR APPLE DEVICE TO VERSION 8 OF THE OPERATING SYSTEM.  If you haven't updated your Apple device we would suggest that you postpone the update until Apple has resolved these issues.
